Ultramarino – Encontros

The series Ultramarino – Encontros will bring us 3 concerts, with free admission and live streaming on YouTube.

The Brazilian singer, composer and guitarist Fred Martins will host a series of summer concerts called “Ultramarino – Encontros” (encounters or duets). Admission is free, but space is limited and requires advance booking via email.

“This project aims to promote to the public, with free admission and in a pleasant environment, the diversity and quality of Portuguese-language artists found in Portugal”, explains Fred Martins, who will also present his album Ultramarino, which brings together songs composed in the years since he has lived between Portugal and Spain.

The third and final concert, on August 6, will feature Portuguese fado singer Joana Amendoeira, Galician accordionist and composer Pedro Pascual and São Tome actor Angelo Torres, who will be accompanied by his daughter Mar. Some of the musical features will be “Entre o Calor e o Frio”, “Viver a Mil” and other songs from Joana Amendoeira’s album Na Volta da Maré, where all the compositions are the result of a collaboration with Fred Martins and Tiago Torres da Silva.
